Bit of a cheat, here - this is one I made a good while ago but I just sent it to someone yesterday, so I thought it would qualify. The background is strips of masking tape, coloured with Brilliance inks.

Just finished a swap for which we had to create 8 house shaped pages for a book. It was a 'free' theme, which is harder for me, but I couldn't get house out of my mind and I was inspired by a Paperbag Studios stamp. There are two silhouettes, the cat and the tree (Wed Stampers) and a 'bijou' (Dans ma maison il y a.....) on the first one.

Main image stamps from Time to Stamp (Photo booth plate - one of my favourites) .

If you're a U2 fan, as I am, you'll be pleased to know there's a preview of the whole of the new album, No Line on the Horizon (due to be released next week) available for three days, starting tomorrow (Monday) on www.guardian.co.uk/music - I'll certainly be listening!

It just came to my attention (thanks to Jo Capper Sandon) that this one fits the TGIF (Feathers) and Wednesday Stampers (silhouettes) themes, so here it is.

I found a sheet of labels, so I played because I hadn't done one of these for years and years!

,

I'm surprised this scanned okay - ish, though you can't see much of the violet. While looking for my Encore inks, I came across some Interference Acrylics I've had for years and years, so of course I had to play a little with them. I just applied them with a Credit card on black for this one. After scanning, I noticed some stray flecks of Gold EP but fortunately, I think they really look good :)

If you don't already own it, I would really recommend getting hold of Hermine's Choice, the mini book from Art Specially written by http://herminesplace.wordpress.com/. Just had a play with a couple of the techniques and while they haven't worked out as they're supposed to (duh! I'm useless at following instructions) I quite like the results. Note the HUGE booboo at the end of the text - the joins on the paper scraps caused that (honestly!) so I tried to salvage it but it didn't quite work. I'm still uploading, though because I like the effect of the rest!

H'mm, I've been out and come back and when I saw this card (above) I thought, 'YUK!' Gonna have to take it off that background - I was undecided about it to begin with but now I think it's terrible!!!!!!!

The other day, I opened some Pinatas I've had for years and of course I wanted to try them out but didn't want to get any of the AI kit out of the cupboard, so I found a piece of acetate, tipped on some blue, green and white, then added Blending solution. I did end up having to get out the applicator though because I wanted some gold in there and it was the only way to disperse the gold Krylon. I noticed it on the windowsill today so I thought I'd stamp it up. Doesn't scan well, but it was fun :( Stamps from Onyx Xpressions

I love Pigment inks - they blend easily and so beautifully AND they're permanent, so I was thrilled when Ranger brought out their part range of Adirondack Pigments. Can't wait to get the newest releases to add to my collection!

On this one I stamped and embossed, then sponged Juniper and Lemonade inks over the top, blending with fingers. I finished off with Denim around the edges and a little where the other two colours met. Can't get it straight, no matter what I do so I've given up on the scan!

I've been laid up for a few days, so spent some time playing with a pile of black and white images I'd stamped, ready for a swap on KCUK. Here are a few of them.
